Sinopsis 1987: When the Day Comes (2017) : Di tahun 1987, salah satu dari organisasi mahasiswa dan anggota gerakan pro-demokrasi yang bernama Park Jong-chul (Yeo Jin-Goo) ditangkap oleh polisi. Tak hanya itu Dia juga disiksa hingga akhirnya mati. Di saat yang bersamaan Pemerintah Korea dan Polisi berusaha untuk menutupi dan menghilangkan kasus Park Jong-Chul, akan tetapi media dan mahasiswa juga berusaha untuk mengungkapkan kebenaran yang ada. Hal tersebut juga tercatat dalam sejarah Korea.
